Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers for first-time students, parents and anyone comparing pole or aerial classes in Mumbai.

Do I need any prior experience to start Pole or Aerial classes?

Not at all. Beginner-friendly classes at Air & Asanas are designed to build strength, flexibility and confidence from the ground up.

What should I wear for Pole and Aerial classes?

For pole, wear shorts and a comfortable top so skin can grip the pole safely. For aerial silks or hoop, wear fitted leggings and a sleeved top to protect skin from fabric burns.

Is it safe to learn Pole and Aerial Arts?

Yes. Classes are taught with progressive skill building, spotting and safety-focused rigging practices. Tell the instructor about any injuries before class.

I'm not very flexible or strong — can I still join?

Yes. Most Air & Asanas students start exactly where they are. Pole and aerial arts naturally build strength, flexibility and coordination over time.

What's the difference between Aerial Silks, Hoop, Hammock and Aerial Yoga?

Aerial Silks use long fabric for climbs, wraps and drops. Aerial Hoop (lyra) is a circular steel apparatus for spins and poses. Aerial Hammock uses looped fabric for flows and flips. Aerial Yoga is a hammock-based aerial arts class focused on suspended stretch and calm strength — not traditional Hatha or Vinyasa yoga.

Does Air & Asanas offer Hatha or Vinyasa yoga?

No. Air & Asanas is a pole-led and aerial-focused studio. Traditional Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga are not offered as current services.

How do I book a class or trial session?

Message Air & Asanas on WhatsApp or Instagram with the class and location preferred. Trial sessions are available for first-time students at select locations, subject to timetable.

What kind of classes do you offer?

Air & Asanas offers Pole Dance and Pole Fitness as the primary focus, plus Aerial Silks, Aerial Hoop, Aerial Hammock, Aerial Yoga, Strength & Flexibility and Choreography across beginner to advanced levels.

Do you have classes for kids?

Yes. Air & Asanas has Kids Aerial Programs (ages 5–14) designed to enhance confidence, coordination and creativity in a fun, safe way.

Can I join if I have an old injury or health concern?

It depends on the condition. Consult a doctor first and inform the instructor before class so movements can be modified for comfort and safety.

Do you offer private sessions or corporate workshops?

Yes — private lessons, group bookings and customised workshops for events, fitness programmes or brand collaborations. Reach out for details.

Where are your studios in Mumbai?

Air & Asanas teaches at The Community Studio in Santacruz West, Why Not Fitness Studio in Andheri West, and Bounce in Malad West. Schedules vary by location.

How much do classes cost?

Air & Asanas lists trial, pole packs, aerial packs and private options on the Timetable & Pricing page. Confirm the live fee for your Mumbai location on WhatsApp before booking.
